For purposes of teaching and learning the school is divided into 3 main sections.
- Foundation Stage for children aged 3-5 years of age.
- Key Stage 1 for children aged 5-7 years.
- Lower Key Stage 2 for children aged 7-9 years.
- Upper Key Stage 2 for children aged 9-11 years.
We encourage a creative and practical approach to teaching and learning, enabling children to work both independently and co-operatively.
In order to identify levels of ability and progress a series of assessments are implemented and work is differentiated appropriately.
In the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 the children are taught for 22.5 hours each week, and for 25 hours each week at Key Stage 2.
