School Navigator

What are School Navigators?

School Navigators are part of the School Inclusion Team, within the Early Help Service in Westminster City Council. They work closely with and across primary schools in Westminster, to identify children and families who may benefit from accessing community-based services.

School Navigators support schools by maintaining a thorough knowledge of services available to families in the locality through the 3 Family Hubs that they will be linked in with. This may also include making referrals to the Family Hub panel for consultations around services and create action plans when needed.

Our School Navigator is Andy Limbaya who is linked to Queen's Park Family Hub (see more below)

From Febsruary 2025, Andy will spend at least half a day a week in our school with the aim to be a familiar face and point of contact for families and to help foster positive relationships between parents, schools, and children.

If you have any queries or would like further information please contact Andy Limbaya: alimbaya@westminster.gov.uk

Family Hubs

What are Family Hubs?

Family Hubs are a new way of bringing together all the support you may need as a family, from pregnancy through to young people turning 19 (or 25 if they have a disability).

There is at least one children’s centre in each of the Family Hubs with activities for very young children and a wide range of support for families with children of older ages. Find out more about the services family hubs offer and where to find your nearest hub below.

What can a Family Hub help with?

Family Hubs are run by the services that support you from health, the council and the voluntary sector. We are working together to give you the right help at the right time.

Your Family Hub will be able to give you information and support, such as:

  • breastfeeding support and baby groups
  • family learning
  • family therapy clinic
  • groups for families where someone has a mental health issue
  • health visiting
  • help to return to work or training
  • help with children’s emotional well-being

  • support around SEN and disability
  • support if you are experiencing domestic abuse
  • support for children’s transitions into and between schools, and engaging with learning
